Beware the Pure Spirit, Let the Flesh Instruct the Mind

Roger: My blog may not be work safe. You are reading the ramblings of a 50 something year old homophile and some of my musings are of a frank and explicit nature. I am over 18 and anyone reading this journal should be as well. If you find my views and language to be offensive to your own delicate sensibilities – feel free to not read my entries. No apologies to be found here. I’m a nice guy at heart, intelligent and take things to heart (way too often). Please don’t confuse my venting with my actual persona – this journal is an unedited way for me to vent / confess / explore. I welcome comments and love intelligent discourse. My scribblings go from the sacred to the profane - or more likely a mixture of the two. I try not to separate the sacred from the profane in my life as I have found them to be complementary of one another - each existing in part due the the influence of the other. I am a recovering Christian (Church of God - Anderson Indiana) and although I have long cast aside the trappings of institutionalized religiosity I do try my best to cultivate spirituality in my life. I find value and comfort in these practices.
